About
Built by the people who print their own gear.
Northern Works grew out of Northern Drone, a West Fargo LiDAR, GPR and survey company that has been printing its own mounts, fixtures and case inserts for years because nobody sold what the job needed. In 2026 we opened that shop to everyone else.
Same machines, same standards.
Northern Drone flies LiDAR, ground-penetrating radar, bathymetric and thermal payloads across the country. Most of that hardware needed a mount, an insert or a housing that did not exist, so we designed and printed it, broke it in the field, and printed it better. That habit — model it properly, check it against the drawing, measure it before it ships — is what Northern Works sells.
Every part is designed in CAD, checked for geometry and printability before the first layer goes down, and measured with calipers against the drawing before it leaves. Parts that carry load or heat can be referred for an outside engineering review, quoted separately. You get a photo with your invoice and, if you want it, the caliper measurements.
