Local vs. mail order

Days, not weeks

Online print networks are built for shipped orders and print-ready files. Most Northern Works parts are done in 3–7 business days, with pickup in West Fargo by appointment and a person to talk to when the file isn't ready.

Materials

Beyond PLA

ASA, carbon-fiber nylon, PETG-CF and TPU on a heated-chamber machine, stocked and priced on the materials page.

Design

No file required

Bring a photo, a sketch or the broken part. We model it, show you the screen before printing, and keep the file for reorders.

Questions people ask

Can I just stop by?

By appointment — it is a working shop, not a storefront. Email or text first and we will have the part ready at the door. Most customers never visit; the quote form and USPS cover it.

Do you print from a photo?

Yes. A photo with a tape measure or calipers in frame, plus the make and model of whatever it fits, is enough for most replacement parts. Design time is $95/h billed by the quarter hour and quoted before we start.

How much does 3D printing cost here?

Most single parts land between $45 and $150. Print time is $6 per machine hour plus material by weight; the pricing page has worked examples. The $45 minimum covers several small parts in one order.

Do you work with businesses?

Mostly. Shops, dealers, engineering firms and manufacturers get net-30 terms, a priority queue and their files kept on hand for reorders.
